If you’re finding yourself dealing with an overabundance of difficult clients, I want to let you in on a little secret. Difficult clients are often dream clients in disguise and working with them doesn’t have to be a struggle.
The last job I worked before starting my business was in the marketing department at a large corporation, and it involved running a considerable quantity of marketing analytics. I’m talking those kinds of Excel spreadsheets – the ones with hundreds of thousands of rows and numerous pivot tables, and a company intranet that required tons of maintenance and records updates.
It’s starting to heat up here in West Texas and we’re craving juicy refreshment in any form we can find it. Put on your favorite Lilly Pulitzer frock, call up your best girls and get busy squeezing. Champagne optional – but highly recommended! 😉

Another day, another stunning brand. Edmina, owner of the UK-based Aleeka Events was in search of a high-fashion brand that would appeal to her luxury clientele, while invoking the spirit of her West African heritage (and planning specialty!). We put together a stunning brand centered around a custom, hand-inked print and paired it with soft blush and cool marble tones. We’re back for Day 2 of brand week, and I’m especially excited to share this project with you. Our sweet client, Cara bought A Day to Cherish from its previous owner back in 2011. While she liked some aspects of the original logo, she was ready for a refresh and update – to put her own clean, classic style front and center of her brand. We started with an inspiration board (possibly my all-time favorite) to define the clean lines, bright colors and soft romanticism we were craving in this brand.
Happy spring, y’all! This week on the blog, we’re kicking off the season with five fresh new brands we’ve been dying to share. First up – a dreamy, coastal brand for Natalie Scott Events. We pulled inspiration from soft, organic elements paired with some of our favorite cool neutrals to create a brand that is equal parts airy and impactful. Driven by raw calligraphy and beautiful imagery, we rounded out the suite with a darling monogram, luxe stationery and a website who’s sole purpose is to show off Natalie’s gorgeous work. Consider us obsessed.

Magnoliahouse Creative started more than two years ago, as Irene Farrimond Creative, during stolen lunch hours and late nights. On February 11, 2014, we be came official with the IRS, I went full time with the business in May 2014, we rebranded as Magnoliahouse Creative in March 2015, and it’s been a haze of classic typography and citrus pictures ever since

Today, we’re moving into discussing the second – and arguably sexiest – phase in our signature branding process: Logo Design. While it’s incredibly important to remember that a brand is so much more than a logo, there’s no denying that the logo is the crown jewel in the branding process.
